Haghartsin Monastery
A beautifully preserved medieval monastery hidden among the lush forests of Dilijan National Park. Built between the 10th and 13th centuries, its elegant churches and stone details blend naturally with the surrounding woodland, creating one of northern Armenia’s most enchanting settings.

Dilijan
A charming mountain town surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills, often called the “Armenian Switzerland.” Known for its historic old quarter, artisan workshops, peaceful walking trails and fresh mountain air, it is one of Armenia’s most inviting escapes into nature.

Goshavank monastery
A peaceful village tucked into the forests of Tavush, named after the medieval scholar and monk Mkhitar Gosh, who was a 12th–13th-century Armenian scholar, writer, cleric and jurist whose work had a lasting influence on Armenian intellectual and legal history. He is best known for compiling the Datastanagirk (Book of Laws), one of the earliest and most important Armenian legal codes.



Makaravank Monastery
A medieval monastery complex hidden in the wooded hills of Tavush, founded in the 12th-13th centuries and expanded over several centuries. Its richly carved stonework, intricate decorative details and secluded forest setting make it one of northern Armenia’s lesser-known architectural treasures.

Yenokavan village
A picturesque village in Tavush surrounded by forests, deep gorges and dramatic cliffs. It is best known for its outdoor adventures, including hiking, horseback riding and the spectacular Lastiver caves and waterfalls.

Moro Dzoro Chapel
A secluded medieval monastery in the forests of Tavush, near the village of Lusahovit. Dating back to the 5th century, it is one of the region’s lesser-known historic sites, offering a peaceful stop away from the main tourist routes.

Matosavank Monastery is a small 13th-century monastery hidden deep in the forests near Dilijan. Now partially ruined and abandoned, its dark stone walls are covered with moss and vegetation, creating a secluded atmosphere that feels untouched by time.

Mount Dimats is one of the most beautiful hiking destinations in Tavush, rising above the forested landscapes of northern Armenia. Its summit offers spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding mountains and valleys, with lush forests and alpine meadows along the trail.

Gosh Lake is a peaceful mountain lake surrounded by dense forests near the village of Gosh. Reached by a scenic hiking trail, it is a beautiful place to experience the quiet, untouched landscapes of Tavush.
